I remember Lee Jay talking about being a doctor even in elementary school. He became an OB/GYN. I didn't know this until I was in Magee delivering my daughter Shoshana in 1981. He was an intern or resident and was called in to examine me. I couldn't have someone I knew from childhood examining me in labor. I asked him to find someone else. He ended up examining someone else from high school, Hillary Wedner!
Lee Jay must have been busy rounding in 1981, because he entered my room while I was in labor with my first, and he must have seen the panicked look on my face and said: "Don't worry, Gail, I saw your name on the board and only came in to say hello and wish you good luck"! He was such a nice friend. I will always remember his kind nature.

Lee came in to examine me while I was in labor also! I must say he was a kind person and I always enjoyed being around him.
